(last he remembers from aldrip was to squeeze the life out of a man he loves.

and then, he didn't remember a thing about this place. too unfortunate is the fact that back home, manjiro's actions weren't any better. perhaps, one could argue that they had been worse. a gang war. a train that could have murdered all the people he has ever loved. killing the person who traded everything to see manjiro smile.

and then, he was back to a time when none had ever happened. the curse that clouded his mind non-existent, and instead of eradicating it, he could rebuild, and this time, not alone. a burden that was not just takemichi's anymore, and their dreams were fulfilled due to their efforts. nearly a decade he lived fixing what he knew could be broken, and now, the future was bright to all of them.

and now he's here, where he has, unsurprisingly, fucked up than he could describe with words. the dojo has been kept clean and tidy, thanks to minato's faith, and manjiro is now reopening it, although there's no announcement. the doors to the dojo that were kept closed are now wide open and inviting, and one can see a figure with long black hair in jeans and a baggy shirt hanging the punching bags once again.)

(everything he sees hits him with a sense of deja vu that is a little bit disorienting. perhaps this is a dream, and that wouldn't be the craziest explanation in the world considering the core of his life.

he has yu's work hours memorized, and he decides to not step foot into lupin in those times. it's a safe time right now, so he sits by the bar, ordering the sweetest cocktail there is in the menu, except...)
